St. Mary's School, Porbandar

Saint Mary's School was born out of the educational vision of Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara, the founder of CMI & CMC congregation. Saint Chavara was a great educationist and social reformer of the 19th century. He could foresee the changes in the environment and make strategic moves to build up a better society based on the fatherhood of God and brotherhood of humanity. He was a poet saint who initiated a movement of socio culture reformation of society by establishing school, printing press, home for the aged and activities aiming at the spiritual renewal of people.

We dedicate ourselves to the mission of training the present generation for academic excellence and character formation based on Value System, Love of God and Service to the Society and the Country.

A student grows by the combinations of teachers' guiding spirits , own intelligence, surroundings and passage of time. It takes a whole village to educate a child and indeed it is the responsibility of all adults to create a conducive environment where effective learning takes place.
